Privacy Policy
Live Loud Rituals is the 28-day aftercare programme of the Live Loud Ritual, offered by Stichting Garage2020 / Feelee ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data the Live Loud Rituals app collects, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell or share your data with advertisers, and everything stays within the European Union.
Who is responsible
Stichting Garage2020 / Feelee is the data controller for the app. Contact for privacy questions: levi@garage2020.nl · www.garage2020.nl.
The app is built and maintained on behalf of Stichting Garage2020 / Feelee by an external development partner, acting as our data processor. A data processing agreement between us and that partner is signed before the app goes live. Data is stored with our hosting provider Supabase in the EU (region Frankfurt, eu-central-1), and the pages you are reading now are hosted by Railway.
What we collect
- Account data: your e-mail address and your password. We never store the password itself, only an irreversible hash of it, so nobody at our end can read it. A display name is optional; by default you appear to others as "Anonymous participant".
- Programme progress: which daily rituals you completed, your streak, your archetype quiz result, any personal notes you add to a ritual, and the time of day you chose for your daily reminder, if you set one. Notes are private: no other participant and no moderator can read them.
- Fanatics (forum) content: posts and replies you choose to share, plus reports and blocks used for moderation.
- Usage statistics: simple counts such as app opens and completed rituals, stored with your account id so we do not count the same person twice. No advertising IDs, no location, no third-party analytics, no tracking cookies.
- Crisis-keyword flags: if something you post matches a short list of crisis-related words, that post is marked for a moderator and you are shown a referral to professional help. See Community safety below.
A note on wellbeing data. Some of what you put into the app says something about your mental health: the notes you write on a ritual, what you share in the Fanatics, and the fact that a post of yours matched a crisis keyword. Under the GDPR that is a special category of personal data (article 9), and we are only allowed to process it if you explicitly agree to it. You give that agreement when you create your account, and you can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account or by mailing us. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before you withdrew.
We treat this data with extra care: data minimisation, encryption in transit and at rest, strict access rules, EU-only storage, and no use of your data for AI training, advertising or anything other than running the programme. Your ritual notes are private. Other participants cannot see them, and our moderators cannot request them: the database does not allow it. Only our technical administrator can reach the raw database, and does so solely for maintenance, incidents and support, under our data processing agreement and only when there is no other way.
Community safety
To keep the Fanatics safe, everything you post is checked against a short list of crisis-related keywords the moment you submit it. A match never blocks or punishes you: it marks the post for a human moderator and shows you a referral to professional help (113 Suicide Prevention in the Netherlands). The post itself stays visible while that review happens, so nobody reaching out is met with silence.
Moderators can read content that is reported or flagged, and can remove content that breaks our community rules. They cannot read your private ritual notes. Reports from members are reviewed by a human moderator within two working days, and we tell you which rule was broken if we remove something of yours. Why we may process your data (legal bases)
- To provide the programme you signed up for (performance of contract, article 6.1.b): your account, your progress, the Fanatics.
- Your explicit consent (article 9.2.a) for the part of that data which says something about your mental health: ritual notes, what you post in the Fanatics, your archetype, and crisis-keyword flags. You give it at sign-up and can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep the community safe (legitimate interest, article 6.1.f): moderation, reports, blocks and keyword flagging. Our interest is a forum where people in a vulnerable moment are not harmed; we weighed that against your privacy by keeping moderator access limited to reported and flagged content.
- To see how the programme is used (legitimate interest): counts of app opens and completed rituals, never linked to advertising or shared with anyone.
You can object to any processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw any consent, by mailing us. Providing your data is not a legal obligation, but without an e-mail address and a password we cannot give you an account.
How long we keep it

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile. No longer have the app installed? Use the account deletion page.
One thing does not disappear, and we would rather be straight about it: the usage counts described above. Events such as "app opened" or "ritual completed" stay in our statistics, but the link to you is erased at the moment you delete your account. What remains is a number without an owner, which we can no longer trace back to you or to any other person.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable form, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw your consent. Mail levi@garage2020.nl and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. The crisis-keyword check is the only automated step, and it never blocks you or changes anything about your account: it shows you a referral and puts the post in front of a human moderator.
Who else touches your data
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers or social networks. These are the only parties involved, each bound by a data processing agreement and each processing inside the EU unless stated otherwise:
- Supabase (database, accounts and the mail that confirms your address), region Frankfurt, eu-central-1.
- Railway, for the website you are reading now. It logs standard technical request data such as your IP address.
- Apple and Google, for distributing the app through their stores. They process their own store and device data under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your identity from them.
- Expo, for building and updating the app. It does not receive your account data.
Age
The programme is written for adults and offered to participants of the Live Loud Ritual. You need to be at least 16 to create an account yourself. Are you younger and did you make an account anyway? Ask a parent or guardian to mail us and we remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and note the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
